Some of the modifications include: Enlarged patient waiting and registration areas, all private single patient exam rooms, new staff and public entrances on Powelton Avenue, two new resuscitation rooms, a state of the art patient care room dedicated to eye emergencies, a medical imaging suite, an expanded and fully computerized nursing station, computerized charting systems, wireless bedside registration capability, the addition of the trauma service line, and a redesigned front end to expedite patient flow.
