The IS Director oversees the electronic health record (EHR) and core clinical and business systems, manages relationships with third-party vendors and managed-service providers on which the facility relies, and works closely with decision makers in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions within the constraints of the hospital's capital and operating budgets. · Implement, support, and maintain telehealth and telemedicine systems (e.g., tele-stroke, tele-behavioral health, remote specialist consults, and remote patient monitoring), ensuring reliable connectivity, audio/video quality, EHR integration, and HIPAA-compliant security to extend specialty care access for the rural community.
