Qualifications:Education: You have one of the following education/experience combinations:High school diploma/GED and 4+ years of highway-related construction or inspection experience2-year technical degree or higher in Civil Engineering Technology or Surveying Technology with 2+ years of highway-related construction experienceBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Engineering TechnologyCertifications: WV TRET Certification or the ability to obtain within 6 monthsKey CompetenciesStrong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing) using the English languageStrong math skills and understanding of weight, volume, pressure, and units of measureWorking Conditions and Physical Demands:This role involves hands-on work in outdoor environments, and with Company-provided Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), you'll need to be comfortable with:Working outdoors in varying weather conditions majority of the timeWalking over rough, uneven terrain and standing (potentially up to 12 hours a day)Routinely lifting and carrying 40-50lbs (field/laboratory samples and equipment)Exposure to highway traffic, heavy machineryWorking outside of normal business hours and traveling (typically out-of-town and/or overnight) as project needs ariseWe Are S&ME:At S&ME, we're committed to your growth, professionally and personally.
