Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide quality control support to the project team and direct personnel to implement quality requirements and to accurately status the results; Perform construction quality control inspection and surveillance activities in support of project and/or maintenance activities; Review design output documents in accordance with approved procedures in order to establish inspection requirements in quality assurance procedures, construction plans, and/or work packages; Coordinate with internal and external sources to resolve quality issues and provide status of the inspection/test activities for the work activity; Review technical criteria, personnel qualifications and work sequence on work packages including the notation of hold points prior to performance of inspections; Perform or direct the quality inspection activities of subordinate QC engineers and other inspection personnel as assigned; Assist in resolution of code, specifications and drawing interpretations; Perform or supervise the performance of inspection, witness, test, surveillance, and documents the results of the inspection activities; Assess the completeness of construction activities and quality verification documentation prior to preparation of quality control releases for turnover; Review subcontractor's quality program for compliance to established procedures, attends mobilization meetings and monitors their activities for proper implementation; Review suppliers and/or subcontractor's quality verification documentation for traceability and specification compliance; Review, assess and status subcontractors' costs, manpower and materials; Approve subcontracts invoices and application for payment; Develop, revise, and perform peer reviews of Quality Control Inspection Plans related to. Education and Licensure: Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline and at least 5 years (5-7 years preferred) of practical experience in construction inspection or related area or equivalent combination of education and experience is required; an associate's degree and at least 7 years (7-9 years preferred) of practical experience; or a high school diploma and at least 10 years (10-14 years preferred) of practical experience are considered equivalent.
