Under the supervision of the Building Official, the Deputy Building Official assists in the administration and enforcement of State of Michigan codes, City Ordinances, and other related regulations through inspections, review, and enforcement activities. Thorough knowledge and experience in building trades, including construction materials, practices, alternative means, inspection methods, and construction codes, normally obtained by 6 years of on-the-job experience.
