Performs field inspections to commercial and residential construction blueprints, drawings, plans, and specifications for compliance with building, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing codes; coordinates with other City units including the Fire Department to ensure construction is per plans reviewed for compliance with fire, zoning, and other building codes. High school diploma or equivalent required; six (6) years of journey level work experience in one or more construction trades; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the essential functions of the position.
