The following education and experience will be accepted: Associate degree or higher, from an accredited college or university, in the field of construction, engineering, architecture, or related field, plus ten (10) years of combined experience as an architect, engineer, plans examiner, building code inspector, registered or certified contractor, or construction superintendent; OR . Ensures proper direction and supervision of the activities of inspectors performing inspections of commercial and industrial buildings, residential construction, and electrical, mechanical and plumbing systems; and of the activities of plan review and clerical support staff; assists and advises subordinates, as necessary.
