Inspects the work of contractors engaged in major construction of drinking water mainline replacement, water services, installation of fire hydrants, and other water related infrastructure improvement/construction for conformance with requirements and specifications of contracts including earth moving operations, placement of water mainline, paving, pouring of concrete, landscaping, and construction of buildings and specialized facilities. Construction Inspector I: Three years of inspection experience on public works construction projects, or on improvement work performed under permit on public works facilities, or three years of engineering experience in the design and inspection of public works construction projects.
