Duties: - Review medical records and documentation to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines, regulations, and insurance requirements (ICD-10, ICD-9)- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by paper- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resolve any billing discrepancies- Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries or disputes- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations- Assist with medical collections as needed- Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and industry regulationsExperience:- Previous experience as a Medical Biller or in a similar role- Proficient in medical coding systems (ICD-10) and terminology- Familiarity with medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems- Knowledge of insurance billing processes and reimbursement methods- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - If you meet the qualifications above and are looking for an opportunity to contribute your skills in a fast-paced medical office environment, we invite you to apply for the position of Medical Biller.
