Uses all equipment properly and in a timely manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation to patients. Ensures proper annotation, notes, etc., appear on PACS (wet reads, priors, etc.).

Responsibilities:
<div>General Diagnostic Procedures:<ul><li>Performs all diagnostic procedures following policies and procedures established by the department, including the Fluoro and OR</li><li>Adjusts patient care based on age-specific needs</li><li>Uses all equipment properly and in a timely manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns, and extraneous radiation to patients</li><li>Determines most suitable position and shields patient for optimum imaging and patient comfort. Follows ALARA principle staff and patients shielding</li><li>Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately</li><li>Scans paperwork into PAC's System</li><li>Maintains a working knowledge of PAC's System</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of CD burning</li><li>Completes patient charges for each exam in a timely manner</li><li>Transports patients to and from the department</li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly environment and associated checklist</li><li>Able to keep note when order and inclination will not be correct</li><li>Keep dose as low as possible to achieve a diagnostic exam</li><li>Duties as assigned by the Director of Radiology</li></ul>Administrative:<ul><li>Uses computer to access reports</li><li>Follows protocols for releasing of images</li><li>Assists with administrative responsibilities of the department to include scheduling appointments, answering the phone, etc.</li><li>Performs all quality controls procedures daily as assigned and maintains appropriate logs</li><li>Participates in annual surveys and inspections</li><li>Ensures proper annotation, notes, etc., appear on PACS (wet reads, priors, etc.)</li></ul></div>

Qualifications:
<div><ul><li>Currently attending an accredited school of radiology technology</li><li>Hospital experience preferred</li></ul></div>
