What You'll Need: • Enrolled in an accredited Civil/Structural Engineering or Architectural Engineering program with a concentration in Structural Engineering. • Knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling, including Revit. • Proficiency with basic computer software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. • Academic coursework that is relevant to structural design is preferred. • Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills • A strong interest and desire to learn building systems design and construction. • Prior internship experience is preferred, but not required. What You'll Get to Do: • Support a variety of engineering tasks related to structural design. • Learn basic principles of structural design, with exposure to steel, concrete and wooden structures. • Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts. • Become an expert with design platforms such as Revit, RAM Elements and STAAD. • Perform basic engineering calculations. • Assist in engineering related studies and surveys. • Coordinate designs with multiple-disciplinary project teams. • Travel to project sites and assist with existing condition surveys.
