p>Role Accountabilities:

As a Construction Intern with Interior Design, you will:

• Active Site Walks: Accompany senior staff on site walks to assess progress, quality, and adherence to design specifications.
• Flagging and Coordination: Identify and flag any observed issues, coordinating between different parties (contractors, designers, project managers) to ensure prompt resolution.

p>The majority of Mechanical Engineering co-ops and interns enter into the following positions:

• Area Refining Engineer/Project Engineers • Develop and use project management skills to create project scopes, estimates, and schedules. • Such improvements include root cause failure analysis, optimization of maintenance programs in rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, etc.), and troubleshooting fixed equipment (refinery pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping systems, etc.).

Interns will assist with troubleshooting equipment issues, performing routine preventative maintenance, conducting system inspections, and supporting hardware and software testing. This internship offers exposure to various phases of PTS maintenance, including unit testing, integration testing, validation testing, and other site-related activities.

Typical tasks include:

• planning and scheduling of materials, labor, and equipment for construction • tracking and analyzing costs and comparing to control budgets • ensuring compliance with document control procedures and processes • preparing documents that provide an audit trail of major project decisions and risk mitigation efforts • assisting with bid preparation, award, and contract administration • monitoring and reporting of contractor productivity, progress, and performance • preparing schedule updates and critical path analysis.
