<strong>SMALL BUSINESS SPECIALIST</strong><br/><br/><br/>This role will be responsible for providing critical support for the client relationships in the centralized Small Business Banking team, which will include managing an existing portfolio of business and the acquisition of new business. This role will focus generally on companies with revenues under $1MM and provide loans, lines of credit, credit cards, treasury and depository services to targeted companies.<br/><br/><br/><strong>Responsibilities to include:</strong><br/><br/><br/>+ Generate, retain, & expand lending and depository relationships with new and existing clients through direct prospecting, direct marketing programs, cold calling, and client referrals<br/><br/>+ Meet all established sales goals and actively participate in all sales activities as assigned by engaging in a personal weekly sales activity plan<br/><br/>+ Serve as the primary link for all financial services to the individual Small Business Banking client with the bank (i.e., Treasury Services, International, Trust, and Cash Vault)<br/><br/>+ Ensure that customers have a positive experience with the organization and its products/services at every touch point<br/><br/>+ Identify prospecting approaches to recognize potential customers and create opportunities to sell financial solutions and ideas to customers for both their business and personal financial needs<br/><br/>+ Perform portfolio management activities such as: manage and support customer inquiries and service requests; analyze each lending situation for additional business and cross-sell opportunities; communicate and partner with other lending areas for follow up on behalf of customer; apply expertise of banking products/services to help them achieve their financial goals<br/><br/>+ Communicate and collaborate with consistency and transparency with branch staff, business banking teams and other internal partners that service small companies (with revenue under $1MM)<br/><br/>+ Process complete application packages efficiently, including screening packages against product guidelines and required documents, entering and processing loans, lines and credit cards into the system, gathering all required documents, and closing out applications within target timeframes<br/><br/>+ Maintain information in CRM consistently for use internally to provide maximum efficiency surrounding the small business clients<br/><br/><br/><strong>Qualifications:</strong><br/><br/><br/>+ Bachelor’s degree in business administration and 2+ years of outside sales experience in the financial services industry or equivalent combinations of education and experience<br/><br/>+ Knowledge of Business Banking products, processes, policies and lending practices<br/><br/>+ Ability to develop new business and good B2B sales skills<br/><br/>+ Ability to provide excellent customer service<br/><br/>+ Ability to create and deliver one-on-one and group presentations<br/><br/>+ Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills<br/><br/>+ Ability and willingness to sell via outbound telephone calls<br/><br/>+ Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint<br/><br/><br/><strong>Compensation Range:</strong><br/><br/><br/>$51,480.00 - $99,330.00<br/><br/><br/>_The posted compensation range on this listing represents UMB’s standard for this role, but the actual compensation may vary by geographic location, experience level, and other job-related factors.
