And we do it all with heart, each and every day. Position Summary Join a high-performing actuarial team supporting CVS Health and Aetna's exciting and growing government services pharmacy business. The primary focus is the Medicare Part D product strategy and pricing of MAPD, SNP and PDP Products. This role will focus on developing health care solutions for Medicare Part D members. The colleague provides actuarial support to ensure business strategy achieve optimal outcomes within the Medicare Advantage and PDP Markets. The colleague will work with business partners to lead analysis, reporting and process development related to pricing and bid development activities, regulatory compliance, competitive analysis, and risk-revenue analysis. The colleague will: <ul><li>Lead collaboration with business partners to analyze the impact of proposed legislative or regulatory reform and implement required changes in pricing activities.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional business partners in Actuarial, Finance, Product, Growth Analytics, Government Affairs, and Underwriting to achieve desired results</li><li>Take full ownership of assigned projects, manage and collaborate with others to meet deadlines and achieve goals</li><li>Effectively communicate, collaborate, and share results across teams</li><li>Act as a subject matter expert on assigned projects/concepts and integrate individual results with work performed by others, influencing matrix partners</li><li>Anticipate and recognize matters that materially affect financial results and develop sound, unbiased recommendations on how to resolve these matters</li><li>Leverage strong technical skills and critical thinking to design and achieve business solutions</li><li>Influence Tool Development to improve efficiency and accuracy</li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years related experience</li><li>ASA (Assoicates of the Society of Actuaries) or near ASA</li><li>Prior healthcare experience</li><li>Experience with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel</li><li>Experience working with large and detailed data sets</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Solid technical/analytical skills and attention to detail</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Previous Pharmacy or Medicare Part D experience</li><li>FSA designation</li><li>Experience with SAS, SQL, R, Python</li></ul> Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $106,605.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. More specifically, this role will be responsible for the following: <ul><li>Developing the underlying pricing factors and assumptions used in pricing Part C</li><li>Maintaining existing and developing new pricing tools</li><li>Conducting ad hoc pricing studies and brainstorming ideas for pricing enhancements</li><li>Monitoring of emerging results</li><li>Collaborating with Underwriting on plan sponsor pricing opportunities for both new business and renewal business.</li><li>Collaborating with other departments to assist with pricing assumptions</li></ul> Required Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor's degree along with 5+ years related experience</li><li>ASA (Associates of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA</li><li>Prior healthcare experience</li><li>Experience working with large and detailed data sets</li></ul> Preferred Qualifications <ul><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills</li><li>Solid technical, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills</li><li>Be organized, data driven, statistically minded and demonstrate an attention to detail</li><li>Be self-motivated, intellectually curious with a desire to continuously improve processes</li><li>Be adaptable as business needs and priorities evolve</li><li>Be open to managing a summer intern and/or other entry-level actuarial students</li><li>Familiarity with Medicare Part C and/or Group pricing</li></ul> Education <ul><li>Bachelor's degree or higher in actuarial science or related field</li></ul> Pay Range The typical pay range for this role is: $118,450.00 - $260,590.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.
