Desktop Support Technician (Entry–Mid Level) Jacksonville, FL (32226 area) Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM 12-month contract (strong potential for extension or conversion) About the Opportunity We’re looking for a motivated Field Engineer III to join our team supporting a government client. This is a great opportunity for early-career IT professionals or recent grads who want hands-on experience with hardware, software, and network support in a dynamic environment. If you enjoy troubleshooting, working with technology, and solving real-world problems—this role is for you. What You’ll Be Doing<ul><li>Set up, install, and maintain computer hardware and software</li><li>Troubleshoot issues across desktops, laptops, printers, and basic network devices</li><li>Support and maintain legacy and current systems</li><li>Perform hardware replacements (including disk swaps on enterprise systems)</li><li>Handle installs, moves, adds, and changes (IMAC work)</li><li>Test and certify systems and applications</li><li>Work with ticketing systems to track and resolve issues</li><li>Collaborate with Help Desk/Service Desk to resolve escalated problems</li><li>Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism on-site</li></ul>What We’re Looking For<ul><li>1–3 years of IT support experience (or strong technical training/recent grad)</li><li>Basic knowledge of hardware, software, and troubleshooting</li><li>Strong organizational skills and a solid work ethic</li><li>Ability to follow processes while also thinking independently to solve problems</li></ul>Nice to Have:<ul><li>Certifications (A+, Security+, Apple, Dell, etc.)</li><li>Experience with ticketing systems</li><li>Mobile device deployment (iOS/Android)</li><li>Hardware/software deployment or repair experience</li></ul>
