The Environmental Education interns, working as a team alongside the Education Manager, are responsible for virtually all facets of the Summer Discovery Camp Program including educational lesson design and instruction, co-leading weekly camp groups and field trips, guided discovery hikes, pond explorations, snorkeling & kayaking trips, live animal programs, and nature-based crafts and games, as well as birthday parties and private programs and events. Environmental Education Interns are expected to help with other aspects of a small non-profit organization, such as helping with special events, general education and public programs, answering requests for information from the public, assisting visitors to our campus, and helping with many other facets of the organization's day-to-day operations.
