Job Summy:We are seeking students interested in archaeology to fulfill a semester internship. This role involves learning how to process and curate artifacts recovered from cultural resource surveys across the Commonwealth of Virginia. No prior experience is required.Qualifications:<ul><li>Must have a strong attention to detail</li><li>Must have an interest in archaeology, anthropology, or museum studies</li><li>Must be able to provide their own transport to the Archaeology Materials Laboratory at Historic Sandusky in Lynchburg</li><li>Previous classes focused on introduction to archaeology or archaeology lab methods preferred, but not required</li></ul>Responsibilities:<ul><li>Check in artifacts from the field</li><li>Conduct initial artifact assessments and cleaning</li><li>Process artifacts for cataloguing</li><li>Prepare artifacts for final storage and curation</li></ul>We value diversity and are committed to hiring the best applicants for our engineering practice, and therefore we encourage minorities, women and other underserved groups to apply. Your JobGeorgia-Pacific is seeking a Process Control Engineer Coop/Intern to join our team at the Big Island, Virginia Mill. Big Island is located near Lynchburg in central Virginia. The desired candidate must demonstrate customer focus as well as strategic & economic thinking, possess good problem-solving skills, and enjoy collaborating across the organization. This position supports all control throughout the mill and will be responsible for designing and implementing control improvements while working with others to maintain and troubleshoot the mill's control systems. As a coop/intern you will be supported by a dedicated mentor in the process control group and gain real-world, hands-on experience, with the opportunity to tackle significant projects, problem-solve, and take ownership of their work.Alongside your day-to-day role, the Koch Intern Program offers an opportunity to learn more about Koch, our people, Principle-Based Management (PBM) through weekly learning sessions.
