The Compliance and Development Officer ensures that federal, state, and local housing regulatory and compliance issues are addressed and is responsible for writing the Department's Five-Year Consolidated Strategic Plan for the Department.Duties may include;* Schedule stakeholder meetings* Plan public meetings and make presentations* Prepare and monitor recipient contracts* Research and make changes to the Federal requirements' language* Review and write sections of the plan* Provide administrative support as neededApplication Deadline:May 29th 2026.Schedule & Hours:Candidates will work 10-15 hours per week with flexibility to the students schedule. The applicant is responsible to provide their own housing and transportation to and from work during the internship.Expected Duration:Summer 2026Required Education:Candidates pursuing a degree, preferably graduate level, in acquisitions or project management, political science, law, strategic and urban planning, or closely related field.* Eligibility: Must be a currently enrolled student (in an associate's, bachelor's, master's degree or PhD program) and be in good academic standing as determined by the school, college, or university.Ideal Candidate / Preferences:* Research methods coursework desired.* Strong technical, analytical, and narrative writing skills.* Ability to work independently.* Confident interpersonal skills.* Community-oriented.* Knowledge of local/state/federal government regulations ideal.Required Attachments:Please include Cover letter, resume, transcripts, and one-page narrative: Why do you want this internship? If you enjoy working outdoors in a professional and safe environment, consider a Summer Internship with Bartlett Tree Experts!  As an Arboriculture Intern, you will work alongside Bartlett's dedicated team of arborists, gaining practical field experience in scientific tree and shrub care on commercial and residential properties. This is a unique opportunity to develop your career in arboriculture through hands-on training. Our Summer Internships are 8-12 weeks, 40 hours per week, and generally, start in May (start and end dates are flexible based on your availability). Benefits:

As an Arboriculture Intern, you will have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of scientific tree and shrub care, while exploring different facets of this rewarding industry. Your internship may provide the following hands-on experience:<ul><li>Learning and safely performing different aspects of arboriculture, including:<ul><li>Pruning</li><li>Rigging</li><li>Cabling and bracing</li><li>Root collar excavations</li><li>Removals</li><li>Properly maintaining and operating equipment (hand tools, chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts)</li></ul></li><li>Gaining an understanding of integrated pest management programs, including: <ul><li>Property inspections</li><li>Tree identification</li><li>Insect and disease identification and management</li><li>Soil sampling</li><li>Record-keeping, report writing, and client relations</li></ul></li><li>Participating in safety and training meetings and developing professional relationships and friendships</li></ul>Qualifications:
