Must possess or be able to obtain the following Michigan certifications: A-1 I (Storm Water management – Industrial Site), A-1 J (Storm Water Management – Construction Site), and industrial wastewater license that includes A-1D (Impoundment): For tanks, basins, or reservoirs used to hold wastewater, whether solids are settled or not; A-2B (Filtration of Wastewater): For removing particulates via filtration, specifically rapid sand filters, and similar systems (excluding bag, cartridge, or membrane filters); B-1B (Neutralization): For chemical processes that adjust wastewater pH to meet discharge permit limits (excluding pH changes for precipitation, nitrification, or enhancing biological treatment); B-2A (Chemical Clarification): For solids removal via chemical coagulation or precipitation using agents like polymer, alum, or ferric chloride just prior to clarification. Personal Protective Equipment: Different types of personal protective equipment (PPE) may be worn including, but not limited to hard hat, hearing protection such as ear plugs or muffs, eye protection such as safety glasses, goggles, face shield, etc., welders helmet, safety vest, various types of gloves including leather, Nitrile, latex, etc., steel toe boots, and various respiratory protection such as dust masks, half face and full face respirators, SCBAs, APRs, etc.
