Job DescriptionThe Inventory Control Tech I is an entry-level role responsible for performing fundamental inventory and warehouse tasks. This individual supports the inventory team by executing established procedures with accuracy and efficiency. The role requires close attention to detail, adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), and effective communication with team members and supervisors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li style="text-align:justify">Receive and unload items from delivery trucks in a timely and organized manner.</li><li>Document received items using inventory platforms such as Monday Boards.</li><li>Store finished goods and packaging material in a clean, orderly fashion.</li><li>Deliver materials to workstations and storage points both physically and via digital systems.</li><li>Pull and stage packaging material for Resupply Requests or Jobs with a high degree of accuracy.</li><li>Perform regular cycle counts and assist with inventory reconciliation.</li><li>Relocate inventory and assist with cleanups and general warehouse maintenance.</li><li>Safely operate material handling equipment (MHE), including forklifts and pallet jacks (manual/electric).</li><li>Maintain transaction rigor to minimize inventory discrepancies (target: 1 error/day).</li><li>Adhere to compliance procedures as required by state regulations.</li><li>Follow all SOPs, operational guidelines, and verbal directives.</li><li>Maintain professionalism and a positive team-oriented attitude.</li><li>Seek guidance from senior team members and escalate discrepancies as needed.</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li></ul> Minimum Qualifications<ul><li>Must be able to obtain a state medical marijuana badge and pass a background check.</li><li>Ability to work independently and maintain focus.</li><li>Comfortable using and learning new software tools.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.</li><li>Effective interpersonal communication skills.</li><li>Strong ethics, reliability, and a positive attitude.</li><li>Willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed.</li><li>Reliable transportation.</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office and other inventory software platforms (e.g., Monday Boards).</li><li>Forklift operation (certification preferred).</li><li>Skilled in use of pallet jacks (standard and electric).</li><li>Strong computer skills and basic math skills.</li><li style="margin-right:0in">High attention to detail and organization.</li></ul> Education and Experience Requirements<ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent</li><li>3+ years of inventory experience</li><li>Experience using data entry software (i.e., Excel)</li></ul> Physical Requirements <ul><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds.</li><li style="margin-right:0in">Ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces.</li><li style="margin-right:0in">Ability to work in various environmental conditions (hot, humid, low light).</li><li style="margin-right:0in">Ability to stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.</li><li style="margin-right:0in">Must wear personal protective gear as required.</li></ul> At Good Day Farm, we are committed to building a diverse team and an inclusive environment for all. The Inventory Planner / Buyer will provide support to stakeholders via daily tasks and projects and contributions to personal and departmental goals.
