MS1 patients include general surgical (gallbladder, appendectomy, colectomy, ostomy, TURP), general medical (cellulitis, GI bleeds, CHF, COPD), oncology, outpatient infusions, and some pediatric patients over age 1. MS2 Ortho/Neuro patients include observation (chest pain, dizziness, syncope), ortho (total hips, knees, shoulders), and neuro (spine surgeries, strokes, TIA, altered mental status).
