Performs clinical testing in conformance with the laboratory procedure and physician order; initiate follow up as necessary to confirm an order; draw venous or capillary blood from patients as required; receive other body fluids or specimens from inpatients and outpatients; package specimens together with pertinent information arrange for delivery to reference laboratory; and prioritize requests according to need and conditions. Must meet at least one of the following qualifications: An Associates' Degree in science and/or completion of an approved Medical Laboratory Technology internship program and/or registration as a Medical Laboratory Technician with the ASCP or NCA, preferred.
