Job Responsibilities: • Performs research with molecular and cell biological techniques including PCR, DNA and RNA extraction, immunostaining, Western-blotting, cell culture, and sequencing data analysis using R; • Animal experiment (Animal handling (newborn mice and rats), feeding pups via an oro-gastric tube, observation of the pups, Collection of intestinal tissue); • Lab management: managing mouse colonies, ordering supplies and managing mouse and safety protocols; • Routine, general lab work (Solutions preparation, animal formula preparation, autoclaving lab ware and sterilizing instruments, keeping bench clean, cleaning of objects used for experiments and disposal of waste; • Data collection, timely sample processing and storage.
