High school diploma/GED, Georgia P.O.S.T General Instructor certification, and three (3) years of full-time instructor work-related experience in peace officer, correctional, fire service, EMS, or rescue topics applicable to the area of assignment, which includes one (1) year of experience as a lead trainer, team lead, or supervisory role; or two (2) years required work experience at the lower level Public Safety, Trainer 3 (PSP032). Maintains knowledge of DJJ policy and procedure updates to ensure training curricula is properly revised and updated, Conducts regular conferences with direct reports to assess needs, monitor growth and provide guidance when necessary, Ensures all Office of Training and Facility Based Trainers understand and comply with practices established to structure the entry of training data in the Learning Management System.
