To measure an individual's capability to perform these critical tasks, candidates must undergo these seven (7) physical components: • Component • Measures • Time Limit • Requirement to Reach 100% Score • Pull-Ups • Upper body strength • Untimed • 12 Repetitions • Sit-Ups • Abdominal/trunk endurance • 2 minutes • 85 Repetitions • Push-Ups • Upper body muscular endurance • 2 minutes • 60 Repetitions • Mountain Climbers • Abdominal/trunk endurance and cardiovascular fitness • 1 minute • 41 Repetitions • Bend & Twist • Flexibility and cardiovascular fitness • 1 minute • 60 Repetitions • Squat Thrusts • Full-body strength and cardiovascular fitness • 1 minute • 35 Repetitions • ½ Mile Run • Aerobic power • Timed • Completed in 3:00 minutes or less. Depending on functional area of assignment, the following physical requirements may apply: Tasks involve the intermittent performance of extremely physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, running, climbing, and that may involve the dragging, pushing, and/or pulling of extremely heavy objects, such as in the event of chasing and subduing a suspect resisting arrest.
