Responsibilities may include developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with program curriculum, leading daily routines and transitions, completing child observations, assessments, and documentation, guiding and supporting the Associate Teacher in the classroom, supervising children to keep them safe, building positive relationships with children and families, and maintaining a warm and professional classroom presence. Per the GSRP Implementation Manual, candidates must meet at least one of the following: A valid Michigan Elementary teaching certificate with an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood–General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, a Birth–Kindergarten endorsement, or a PK–3 endorsement; or .
