Evans & Dixon is seeking a highly organized and personable Receptionist/Legal Assistant to join our legal team in our Springfield, MO office. This dual-role position serves as the first point of contact for clients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment while supporting attorneys and paralegals with essential legal administrative tasks. This position will require someone who is comfortable with multi-tasking and can autonomously handle a large volume of files along with meeting strict deadlines. Successful candidates should be teachable and have excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. If you bring us your hustle and initiative, we will mentor you with our knowledge and experience!What you'll do:As a Paralegal, you will have the opportunity to provide excellent legal support to your team of attorneys, legal staff, and clients.<ul><li>Case Management: Keep cases organized by establishing and organizing files, monitoring calendars, tracking deadlines, inputting information into file database and case management software, confirming case status with attorney.</li><li>Scheduling: Maintain attorney's calendars, including recording and monitoring court appearance dates, depositions, pleading deadlines, discovery deadlines.</li><li>Legal Documentation: You will prepare case and medical record summaries.
