This role will provide structured tracking, documentation, and cross-functional coordination for enterprise data governance efforts and other projects within the function's project portfolio. The position ensures disciplined project execution, milestone management, policy documentation support, and consistent reporting across multiple concurrent initiatives.This position is ideal for a highly organized, analytically strong professional with experience in project management, legal environments, data governance, and regulatory compliance frameworks. The Legal Operations AVP will play a central role in coordinating and documenting standards across the enterprise.Essential Job FunctionsEnterprise Data Governance Support<ul><li>Support execution of the Enterprise Data Governance & Lifecycle Risk Program, including discovery and data classification initiatives.</li><li>Maintain structured governance dashboards tracking deletion backlogs, retention compliance, and milestone progress.</li><li>Coordinate cross-functional governance working sessions across Legal, IT, InfoSec, business lines and other functional areas.</li><li>Assist in maintaining data glossary documentation and coordinating Data Champion engagement across business units.</li><li>Support training materials and governance awareness initiatives.</li><li>Assist in integrating governance metrics into enterprise reporting structures.</li></ul>Legal Operations & Project Management<ul><li>Maintain trackers and structured reporting for concurrent legal and governance projects.</li><li>Design and maintain executive-level status reports and KPI dashboards, leveraging Excel, SharePoint, and reporting tools to deliver real-time visibility into governance initiatives, risk metrics, and milestone performance.</li><li>Coordinate communications between Legal, IT, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors, when necessary.</li><li>Draft and update SOPs, policy documents, and governance reference materials, ensuring alignment with privacy and retention frameworks (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, and other regulatory expectations).</li><li>Ensure documentation is audit-ready and centrally maintained.</li></ul>Qualifications/Requirements:<ul><li>Associate's degree or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.</li><li>Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent training strongly preferred.</li><li>Minimum of 6+ years of industry and/or relevant experience, typically with 1+ years in a Senior Associate level role or external equivalent.</li><li>Demonstrated experience managing multiple concurrent, cross-functional initiatives.</li><li>Working knowledge of data governance principles, retention policies, privacy frameworks, and lifecycle controls strongly preferred.</li><li>Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) with the ability to design complex tracking models, governance dashboards, and executive-level reporting. Demonstrated experience building structured SharePoint-based dashboards, automated trackers, and centralized governance documentation systems; familiarity with Power BI or similar reporting tools is a plus.</li><li>Familiarity with CLM systems (e.g., Ironclad) and enterprise documentation tools is a plus.</li><li>Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently in a cross-functional, fast-moving environment.</li><li>Discretion and ability to handle confidential information is a must.</li><li>Exposure to data discovery or classification tools (e.g., DSPM solutions) preferred.</li><li>Familiarity with Zero Trust principles and AI governance frameworks preferred.</li><li>Strong executive communication and reporting skills preferred.</li></ul>Note: This job description is not intended to be all inclusive or exclusive. The ideal candidate brings deep employment litigation experience, excellent judgment, and a technology-forward, strategic approach to driving efficient and consistent outcomes in a fast-paced environment.Job DescriptionEssential Responsibilities<ul><li>Own day-to-day paralegal support for labor and employment matters, including demand letters, agency charges, and litigation, with strong attention to deadlines, risk, and business impact.</li><li>Manage EEOC and related agency matters: coordinate internal fact gathering, organize supporting documentation, help draft and assemble position statement exhibits, and track charge status, requests, and deadlines.</li><li>Lead litigation hold and preservation workflows (custodian identification, notice distribution, acknowledgments, reminders, and release), coordinating with Legal, HR, IT, and Records to maintain a defensible audit trail.</li><li>Maintain accurate matter records in the matter management system, including key documents, budgets/invoices (as applicable), task tracking, and periodic reporting for stakeholders.</li><li>Partner with outside counsel on case strategy support and execution: coordinate timelines, manage document collection and productions, assist with pleadings/filings support, and ensure internal alignment on deliverables.</li><li>Coordinate employment-related investigations on relevant matters by requesting when appropriate and reviewing results, and maintaining confidentiality and privilege protocols.</li><li>Coordinate across HR, Employee Relations, Compliance, IT, and business leaders to collect ESI and hard-copy records, identify custodians and data sources, and prepare organized, review-ready productions.</li><li>Manage subpoenas and third-party requests related to employment disputes (intake, tracking, coordinating collection, and preparing production packages), in partnership with counsel and internal stakeholders.</li><li>Support all phases of discovery: coordinate responses to requests for production, interrogatories, and requests for admission; manage privilege logs (as directed); and ensure organized, timely, and defensible productions.</li><li>Coordinate eDiscovery workflows with internal IT and/or vendors, including ESI collection planning, processing, review support, quality control, and production specifications.</li><li>Assist with deposition, hearing, mediation, and trial preparation (witness files, chronologies, exhibit lists/binders, subpoenas/service coordination, and logistics) as requested.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement by developing playbooks, templates, and workflows; leverage legal technology to streamline matter intake, preservation, discovery, and reporting in a high-volume environment.</li><li>Review and management of legal invoices.</li><li>Perform all other duties as required or requested.</li></ul>Required Qualifications<ul><li>8-10+ years of progressively responsible litigation paralegal experience, with significant labor & employment and litigation focus; in-house legal department experience strongly preferred.</li><li>Hands-on experience supporting EEOC and/or similar state agency matters (charges, information requests, mediation/conciliation support, and evidence organization).</li><li>Strong litigation support experience, including preservation/legal holds, discovery coordination, document review and production, and working effectively with outside counsel.</li></ul>Cushman & Wakefield also provides eligible employees with an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health, vision, and dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life, and disability insurance programs, and paid and unpaid time away from work.
