Candidates for this position must have: 1) a master's degree or higher in a field related to biological sciences; 2) at least one year of work-related experience with evidence of participation in fisheries-independent surveys and research focused on the development and implementation of AI/ML methodologies to detect, track, and classify fishes in underwater video data; 3) previous experience working with VIAME software and/or other open source software; 4) ability and desire to work as part of a collaborative team and support a culture of respect, inclusivity, and cooperation; and 5) demonstrated organizational and communication skills.
