Job Title: Lineworker I-SRWork Place Flexibility: Onsite Legal Entity: Entergy Louisiana, LLC This position may be filled as a Lineworker (Mechanic) I, II, III, or Sr based on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate. JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE: The ability to perform all aspects of the Lineworker job function including but not limited to the day-to-day aspects of maintaining and building overhead and underground electrical facilities. Responsible various levels of learning, performing, and/or leading other lineworkers, material maintenance as well as, up to and including, aerial and underground work including utility distribution construction tasks. Working with a Live Safe mindset in all tasks; ensuring to mitigate hazards where identified. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Lineworker I<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Proper use and care of all rubber goods and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to perform confined space and bucket rescue tasks and properly set up and operate aerial baskets and digger derrick trucks.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to lift, rig and tie knots to set up, jobsite and material for work in manholes and vaults, identifying materials and understanding distribution construction specifications.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to properly cover up secondary lines and perform energized work on secondary voltage lines.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to use meters to perform tests and install 3 and 4 wire secondary lines.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to identify substation and underground equipment.</li></ul>Lineworker II<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to perform overhead tasks, including energized primary cover up to 34,500 volts.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to understand transformer theories including bank installations, tap settings, and identifying and constructing multiple secondary voltage applications.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to learn and perform simple primary voltage switching (up to 34,500 volts) tasks and applications.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to lift, rig and tie knots to set up, construct, frame poles, and change out cross-arms, identifying materials and understanding distribution construction specifications.</li></ul>Lineworker III<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to perform all tasks included in Helper through Lineworker II</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to build and maintain underground residential distribution circuits, including but not limited to, prepare/operate pad mount switchgear, install and troubleshoot URD circuits and switching/tagging URD primary cable.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to learn three phase primary tasks to include safe operation and removal/installation of single and three phase reclosers, changing out insulators, and installing and replacing Gang Operated Airbrake Switches (GOABs).</li></ul>Lineworker Sr<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to perform all tasks include in Helper through Lineworker III.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Demonstrate strong Leadership capabilities including indirect crew leadership.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to learn and perform advanced primary voltage switching (up to 34,500 volts) tasks and applications.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to perform advanced Lineworker tasks on Regulators, capacitors banks, Alternate Switching Scheme, and Intelliruptor devices.</li></ul> All levels must be able to perform the followin<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Maintaining a well-organized jobsite to ensure the surroundings are safe.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Learning, completing, and performing (Lineworker I-Sr) (as necessary) all mandated training, such as but not limited to, First Aid, CPR, etc.</li></ul>MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  Minimum education required of the position:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">High School Diploma or equivalent.</li></ul> Minimum experience required of the position:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">6 months - 4 years of experience in a distribution field is required (placement in the appropriate level will be determined by the experience level for the selected candidate).</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Preferred: 2 years of direct Distribution linework experience.</li></ul> Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Ability to climb and work off of poles of various heights.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Additionally, must be able to walk on all types of terrain.</li></ul> Any certificates, licenses, etc. required for the position:<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Must have valid driver’s license.</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Must have, and maintain, a Class-A CDL or ability to obtain one (within 6 months of employment)..</li><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Preferred: valid Class A CDL.</li></ul> Other<ul style="list-style-type:disc"><li style="font-family:'arial' , 'helvetica' , sans-serif">Not all aspects of the job are covered by the description -
