Position requires a high degree of accuracy, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 60 pounds. The noise of the work environment is usually loud, and the employee will be exposed to outside weather conditions, combustibles, large machinery and mechanical parts. <ul><li>Loads and unloads materials onto or from trucks, pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand, forklift, hand truck and/or electric pallet jack, as appropriate. </li><li>Reads work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved. </li><li>Loads materials into vehicles to prevent shifting or damage in transit. </li><li>Conveys materials from storage sites to designated loading area. </li><li>Counts and records number of units of materials moved or handled, breakage and spoilage on appropriate sheets. </li><li>Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases and other containers. </li><li>Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and wraps bundles together. </li><li>Performs housekeeping and grounds maintenance warehouse and sales center offices. </li><li>Wears Company provided uniform and safety equipment. </li><li>Other duties may be assigned by the immediate supervisor or other supervisor at any time. </li></ul>Reliable. This hands-on role is responsible for operating and maintaining various heavy equipment used for site preparation, excavation, grading, and material handling. The ideal candidate will bring a safety-first mindset, experience operating construction equipment, and a willingness to support a variety of duties as assigned.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:<ul><li>Operate a range of heavy equipment, including water trucks, graders, front-end loaders, and excavators, to support daily production and site preparation.</li><li>Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles, including checking oil, water, tire pressure, and reporting repair needs to management.</li><li>Use graders to level surfaces and prepare job sites according to project requirements.</li><li>Support general landscaping, ground maintenance, and related assignments to ensure site readiness and compliance.</li><li>Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, wearing PPE, and adhering to OSHA/MSHA regulations.</li><li>Perform daily housekeeping of work area, conduct workplace safety inspections, and follow plant procedures including lockout/tagout and confined space entry protocols.</li><li>Assist with loading and transporting materials as needed.</li><li>Communicate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and visitors to ensure efficient and safe operations.</li><li>Maintain equipment and work areas in clean, operational condition to prevent delays and hazards.</li><li>Carry out other job-related tasks as assigned by the Area Manager or Plant Supervisor.</li><li>Will complete other general labor duties as assigned</li></ul>REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>High school diploma or GED required.</li><li>Must be able to work weekends and overtime</li><li>Minimum of 1 year of experience operating heavy equipment (construction or industrial environment preferred).</li><li>Must be able to work weekends and a flexible schedule.</li><li>Must have experience operating a Front End Loader.</li><li>Ability to safely operate graders, excavators, loaders, and water trucks.</li><li>Knowledge of basic vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance procedures.</li><li>Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in a physically demanding outdoor environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of workplace safety practices and environmental guidelines.</li><li>Ability to work independently or as part of a team, following directions and adapting to changing priorities.</li><li>Willingness to be trained on OSHA/MSHA regulations and plant-specific safety procedures.</li><li>Applicants may be subject to a background check*</li><li>A pre-employment drug screening & physical exam may be required as a condition of employment.</li></ul>*A conviction does not automatically disqualify you from employment.
