THE ROLE: Loaders are responsible for filling customer orders (order picking), monitoring and rotating inventory, moving of product from refrigerated warehouse to refrigerated delivery trucks, warehousing, and additional duties as assigned. Toft Dairy is Ohio's oldest dairy distributing dairy and ice cream products to customers within an approximate 150-mile radius of the Sandusky plant for nearly 125 years.

Toft Dairy Inc. is currently looking for quality candidates to fill a FULL TIME position on our Loading Dock as a Dairy Loader. The successful candidate must be available second shift hours beginning at 2:00 PM and work a typical 7 to 8 hour shift depending on customer demand Monday through Friday. Those individuals with professional traits such as Punctuality, Positive Attitude, Strong Work Ethic, Self-motivated and Team Player will excel in the work environment.THE ROLE: Loaders are responsible for filling customer orders (order picking), monitoring and rotating inventory, moving of product from refrigerated warehouse to refrigerated delivery trucks, warehousing, and additional duties as assigned.<ul><li>Must be able to withstand cold refrigeration temperatures for periods of time</li><li>Must provide own cold weather apparel such as coat/jacket, sweatshirt, hat</li><li>Must be able to lift 50 lbs</li><li>Must be able to push/pull heavy loads (pallet jack, 2 - wheel hand cart)</li><li>Standing for long periods of time are required</li><li>Maintaining a clean work environment is critical</li><li>Punctuality is required. Being routinely late to work and/or routinely calling off of work is unacceptable.</li><li>Ability to perform required tasks safely, in a fast-paced work environment; ensuring food safety, quality and efficiency standards are achieved</li><li>Positive attitude</li></ul>QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:<ul><li>Order picking/warehousing skills preferred</li><li>Ability to operate and back-up semi-trailers & straight trucks a plus.</li><li>High School Diploma or Equivalent</li><li>Strong attention to detail and good work ethic</li><li>Effective math skills' ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide using units of weight and volume measurements.</li><li>Ability to multi-task while remaining calm and working effectively under pressure</li><li>Ability to communicate effectively in the English language; speak, understand, and read written and verbal instructions, policies and procedures</li><li>Ability to work well with others; team -oriented and individually accountable</li><li>General Safety and Food Safety knowledge/experience preferred</li></ul>Work Environment/Physical Requirements:Toft Dairy contains office, manufacturing and outdoor work spaces where this position is required to access and work. The position requires a person to be able to frequently walk, stand, climb, bend, and twist; Frequently lifting/moving up to 50 lbs. is also required; occasional lifting/transferring of objects may be required with assistance up to 75 lbs. This position also requires a person to handle environments of different temperatures and with various food allergens present. This job is not for everyone as the work-environment is fast-paced, physical, and performed in and out of a refrigerated warehouse.Toft Dairy is Ohio's oldest dairy distributing dairy and ice cream products to customers within an approximate 150-mile radius of the Sandusky plant for nearly 125 years.
