Skills required include IV therapy/infusions, accessing and managing ports, central line care, chemotherapy administration (IV push, continuous infusion, oral), recognition and management of oncologic emergencies (anaphylaxis, extravasation, sepsis, ATLS, hemorrhage, spinal cord compression), and symptom management. Outpatient oncology/hematology infusion center providing chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, hydration, iron infusions, injections, supportive care, port access, central line management, and infusion reaction management.
