This is accomplished through assisting PCP with preventative care and/or chronic disease management by obtaining vital signs, offering patient education, screens Veterans for a variety of preventative maintenance or chronic disease care needs, manages immunizations, injections and all other ordered medications, assists with exams/procedures during the visit such as pelvic exams, joint injection, wound care, Teleretinal, Telederm, EKGs, Phlebotomy, bladder scans to name a few. Ensures that assignments are properly delegated, clinic flow maintained, provides feedback to fellow LPNs and Unlicensed supportive personnel such as Healthcare technicians and clerks as needed and reports to the CN or designee any information needed to enhance and facilitate clinic operations.
