Primary Responsibilities: · Demonstrate the ability to read and use precision measuring instruments for elevator sheave inspection, including inside and outside micrometers, dial calipers, dial indicators, depth micrometers, bore gauges, telescoping gauges, radius gauges, groove gauges, steel rules, straightedges, feeler gauges, height gauges, surface plates, and tape measures, with the ability to verify dimensions within 0.0005” where required. · Perform machining operations on elevator sheaves, including rough and finish turning, bore clean-up, keyway preparation support, groove repair, regrooving support, and inspection of worn or damaged sheave surfaces.
