As automotive machinist, determines work procedures, selects proper tools, lays out work and operates a variety of machines such as boring bar machine, bench lathes, drill presses, electric gear lathes, connecting rod, boring and grinding machine, camshaft line boring machine, and crankshaft grinders. Makes initial serviceability determination regarding a full variety of components and parts for gasoline, multi-fuel and diesel engines such as blocks, camshafts, tappets, rocker army assemblies, cylinders, manifolds, pulley and damper assemblies, gear sets and clutch disks.
