Summary: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures; repairs and installs all types of plant machinery, equipment, buildings; performs various repairs on compressors, pumps, water and gas lines, pipes and related machinery; performs welding to repair broken machinery and other welding-related duties; performs carpentry work as needed; works from drawings and blueprints to layout and assemble all types of steel construction and repairs; sets-up and operates machine tools for parts used in the plant and performs precision work as needed; operates heavy equipment to perform various duties in the mechanical repair department. Ability to use hand tools, air, and electric driven power tools safely and effectively, hoists, hand taps, dies, cutting torch, welding machines, wrenches, jacks, general and specialized machine tools, rigging equipment, brooms, picks, shovels, saws, ladders, and related equipment.
