<br/><b>Radiology Technologist</b><br/><br/><div><div><p><b>COMPETITIVE SHIFT DIFFERENTIALS</b></p><ul><li><b>$4.25 - 2nd Shift</b></li><li><b>$8.00 - 3rd Shift</b></li><li><b>$4.75 - Weekend</b></li></ul><p>Under the supervision of a radiologist and the direction of department leadership, this position competently performs imaging on all general radiographic equipment and is provided the opportunity and encouragement to expand their skill set into other modalities such as Interventional Radiology, Mammography, CT, MRI, and Bone Density. Responsible for appropriate scanning and imaging protocols in all qualified in all areas where competent and certified. Must have the ability to recognize general radiography anatomy. Responsible for providing service excellence and complying with hospital policies and procedures. Uses the RIS/PACS and HIS for proper recording of patient exams and dissemination of patient results.</p><p><b>Minimum Education</b></p><ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent</li><li>Must have completed an approved and accredited Radiology Technology program</li></ul><p><b>Minimum Work Experience</b></p><ul><li>Recent, up to one year, hospital related experience</li><li>Digital Imaging and post processing PACS experience</li><li>Portable and in department fluoroscopy procedures</li><li>Operating Room procedures</li></ul><p><b>Required Licenses/Certifications</b></p><ul><li>Current state R.T. license required.</li><li>BLS Certification through American Heart Association.</li><li>Must obtain 24 ECE credits, in a two-year period, for re-certification and licensure.</li><li>Completion of endorsed patient/visitor de-escalation and restraint program certification *</li><li>ARRT Certified</li><li>Specialty ARRT Certifications highly desirable.</li></ul><p>*Must obtain within 3 months of hire</p><p><b>Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities</b></p><ul><li>Ability to maintain competencies in all certified modalities.</li><li>Willingness to accommodate scheduling flexibility to support staffing patterns that meet patient flow. </li><li>Knowledge and ability to provide care based on physical and psychosocial development and safety issues related to patients of all age groups, including infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric.</li><li>Demonstrated moderate knowledge of basic computer skills.</li></ul><p><b>Pay Range = $32.15 - $46.84</b></p><p><strong>#PM24</strong></p></div></div><br/><br/><br/><p>PI51012dcf8ac2-25401-33154816</p>

Overview:
<div>Provides diagnostic imaging services according to accepted standards and protocols and assures patient safety during procedures.</div>

Responsibilities:
<div><p><strong><u>General Diagnostic Procedures: </u></strong></p><ul><li>Performs all mammography examinations following policies and procedures established by the department.</li><li>Prepares and positions patients for mammograms.</li><li>Provides care and communication to patients before, during and after the procedure.</li><li>Uses all equipment properly and in a manner that minimizes hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.</li><li>Uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety of all patients and staff.</li><li>Explains procedures and responds to questions appropriately.</li><li>Ensures that all images are clear and of good diagnostic quality, adjusting equipment as necessary.</li><li>Documents patient history, including any relevant information which might affect the interpretation of the mammogram.</li><li>Maintain and cleans the mammography equipment with the appropriate solutions.</li><li>Communicates any pertinent information with radiologists and other healthcare professionals as necessary.</li><li>Maintains working knowledge of the PAC’s System.</li><li>Maintains a clean and orderly environment.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Special Diagnostic Testing:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Demonstrates competency in performing all procedures and use of the equipment for Mammography, as appropriate and assigned.</li><li>Keeps dose as low as possible to achieve diagnostic exam.</li></ul><p><strong><u>Administrative:</u></strong></p><ul><li>Uses computer to access reports, medical history, prior imaging, etc.</li><li>Follows protocols for releasing of images and obtaining prior imaging studies.</li><li>Assists with administrative responsibilities of the department to include scheduling appointments, answering the phone, etc.</li><li>Performs all quality controls procedures weekly in the absence of the QC technologist.</li><li>Maintains licensing and continuing education credits.</li><li>Able to teach/aid students and new staff.</li></ul></div>

Qualifications:
<div><ul><li>Graduate of a Radiology Technology training program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT)</li><li>Current registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or equivalent.</li><li>Certification in Mammography</li><li>0-1 year of experience</li><li>Hospital experience preferred</li></ul></div>

Overview:
<p>Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center’s (DHMC) Mammography department at our Lebanon, NH campus has openings for a Technical Aide.</p><p> </p><p>The <strong>Technical Aide</strong> supports the daily operations of the imaging department and helps ensure patients, technologists, and radiologists have an efficient and safe workflow.  This is an entry-level role and is a great pathway into careers such as Radiologic Technologist, nursing, or other allied health professions.  </p><p> </p><p>This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, day-shift position.  </p>

Responsibilities:
<ol><li>Performs limited duties of the receptionist and file clerk, such as answering telephones and maintaining departmental files.</li><li>Restocks supplies in examination rooms and in the Mammography area. Maintains a clean and safe environment.</li><li>Provides for patient care, comfort, safety, and confidentiality.</li><li>Makes basic observations and reports information to staff. Handles body fluids using universal precautions. Assists in lifting, positioning, and ambulating patients.</li><li>Performs other duties as required or assigned.</li></ol>

Qualifications:
<ul><li> High school graduate with good interpersonal skills.</li></ul>
