You lead and oversee all contractual and risk‑management activities by establishing contract formats; partnering with the DM on owner contract negotiations; maintaining and communicating key contract terms to project teams; reviewing, approving, and resolving all subcontracts and purchase orders in compliance with project goals and company policies; proactively identifying, communicating, and resolving contract, legal, and risk‑related issues in collaboration with the DM and Corporate Counsel; and ensuring project teams protect Choate Construction’s interests related to cost, schedule, and overall risk exposure. You lead and oversee Project Managers, Superintendents, and Safety Managers in the development, implementation, and continuous maintenance of Project Specific Safety Plans (PSSPs); conduct and document monthly safety reviews, proactively address evolving jobsite hazards, and recommend corrective actions; respond immediately and effectively to jobsite incidents in alignment with company policy; and consistently model a strong personal commitment to safety with the clear objective of sending every worker home safely each day.
