Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, or equivalent, and five or more years of job-related experience; Thorough knowledge of repair and maintenance of mechanical devices, motors, and electronic instruments used in the water and sewer industry, as well as equipment used in the electrical trade; Commonwealth of Virginia Drivers License with a Class A and Tankers endorsement; Journeyman or Master Electrician Certification through the Commonwealth of Virginia, Confined Space Entry Supervisor, Virginia Flaggers Certification, 16-Hour Asbestos Worker Certification, Valid Class 5 Waterworks License, Underground Storage Tank Operator, NIMMS Training, First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. Position Summary:Under the general direction of the Facilities Supervisor, the Electrician Technician performs difficult technical and skilled work in the maintenance and repair of pumps, electric motors, controls and electronic instrumentation of water and sewer pump stations, and related work as required.
