Required for Credit Learning Assistance/Learning Skills (Tutorial Center): The qualifications to teach any masters degree level discipline in which learning assistance or tutoring is provided at the college where the coordinator is employed; OR a masters degree in education, educational psychology, or instructional psychology, or other masters degree with emphasis in adult learning theory; Required for Interdisciplinary Non-Credit Basic Skills (GED/HiSET courses): Bachelors degree in any Social Science, Humanities, Mathematics, Natural Science discipline or Liberal Studies, as appropriate for the course; OR the equivalent; Requires a sensitivity to, and understanding of, the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
