This role works closely with the Service Manager and collaborates with Field Technicians, Production, R&D, and Back Office teams on troubleshooting, quotations, and technical assessments.</p><p>The position involves both <strong>on‑site service interventions</strong> and <strong>in‑house remote support</strong>. Ideally, the candidate would be located in New Jersey, but Indiana (South Bend) or adjacent areas would also be acceptable, also in or around Mishawaka, Indiana.</p><hr/><h3><strong>On‑Site Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Perform technical service activities on equipment, including electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control software diagnostics.</li><li>Ensure optimal machine performance and high customer satisfaction.</li><li>Travel domestically and internationally as required (up to 40%).</li></ul><hr/><h3><strong>In‑House Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Manage requests for equipment modifications and customizations.</li><li>Serve as a primary technical contact for customers reporting issues.</li><li>Provide remote troubleshooting and support.</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2><h3><strong>Technical Support & Troubleshooting</strong></h3><ul><li>Diagnose and resolve issues involving mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.</li><li>Deliver both remote and on‑site assistance.</li><li>Prepare technical service reports and documentation.</li></ul><h3><strong>Software Configuration & Customization</strong></h3><ul><li>Update and configure PLC, HMI, SCADA, and related control systems.</li><li>Install software updates and patches.</li><li>Customize PLC logic and HMI interfaces based on customer needs.</li><li>Collaborate with internal software teams on feature development and functionality enhancements.</li></ul><h3><strong>Documentation & Training</strong></h3><ul><li>Create technical manuals, operating guides, and intervention reports.</li><li>Provide customer training on system operation and maintenance.</li><li>Maintain internal documentation, including schematics, software versions, and configuration files.</li></ul><h3><strong>Continuous Improvement & Cross‑Functional Collaboration</strong></h3><ul><li>Gather customer feedback and recommend product or process improvements.</li><li>Identify recurring technical issues and propose corrective actions.</li><li>Participate in internal technical meetings, workshops, and improvement initiatives.</li></ul><h3><strong>Installation & Commissioning</strong></h3><ul><li>Install, test, and commission mechatronic machinery at customer locations.</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Education & Language Requirements</strong></h2><ul><li>Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or a related field.</li><li>English proficiency at B1/B2 level or higher.</li></ul><hr/><h2><strong>Profile & Required Skills</strong></h2><ul><li>Strong understanding of mechatronic systems and industrial automation.</li><li>Experience with PLCs and related hardware (Siemens required; Rockwell, Beckhoff, or similar preferred).</li><li>Proficiency with HMI interfaces.</li><li>Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.</li><li>Familiarity with industrial programming languages (Ladder Diagram—LD, Structured Control Language—SCL).</li><li>Solid knowledge of Windows/Linux systems and industrial networks.</li><li>Excellent problem‑solving abilities and a customer‑focused mindset.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively.</li></ul></div></div>
