We have 22 providers that service ten Missouri communities.   Our main office is in Columbia. Missouri Cancer Associates is affiliated with Urology Associates of Central Missouri and the US Oncology Network.SCOPE: Under direct supervision of a pharmacist performs the technical, nonjudgmental aspects of medication preparation, distribution, record keeping and inventory control. Tasks are subject to sequential or final verification by a registered pharmacist. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. 

Responsibilities:
 <ul style="margin-top:0in"><li> Checks all orders for completeness of information.</li><li>Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization.</li><li>Under a professional's supervision, fills prescriptions as ordered by physician in an accurate and timely manner as per department guidelines, and preparing all drugs within OSHA guidelines and interoffice guidelines.</li><li>Checks drugs monthly for outdate and other quality assurance activities as assigned.</li><li>Maintains proper control documentation of medications, including lot numbers.</li><li>Complete inventory control of medications. Receives and shelves medications.</li><li>Assists lead admixture technician in ensuring that standard drug supplies are inadequate supply in all departments.</li><li>Prepares labels.</li><li>Files and prepares billing.</li><li>Performs efficient data entry into systems</li></ul>

Qualifications:

Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients. </li><li>Initiates and documents appropriate interventions; evaluates and records patient/family response and prescribes therapies as indicated. </li><li>Performs procedures with minimal supervision. </li><li>Assesses patient/family needs and provides education. </li><li>Promotes wellness and recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs. </li><li>Solid knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements. </li><li>Completes patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion. </li><li>May provide palliative care for the patient and their families as needed.  </li><li>May promote/provide staff education </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul>

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Nurse Practitioner Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.  This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Nurse Practitioner, preferably in the chosen specialty.  RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.  Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.  AOCNP preferred. Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Physician Assistant Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program.  Current NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) certification. This position typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience as a practicing Physician Assistant, preferably in the chosen specialty.  Current state license as a Physician Assistant in practicing state.  Current basic life support (BLS)/CPR certification required. OR Clinical Nurse Specialist Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited nursing school and successful completion of a Clinical Nurse Specialist program.
