The role conducts ASHRAE Level 1/walkthrough energy assessments, reviews available utility bills and interval data where available, evaluates existing equipment and operating conditions, and identifies potential energy conservation measures and equipment upgrades across systems such as HVAC, lighting, controls, motors and drives, compressed air, refrigeration, building envelope, and other applicable technologies. The Energy Advisor helps match identified opportunities to appropriate program offerings, provides clear responses to technical and program-related questions, and prepares concise site summaries describing existing conditions, candidate measures, available supporting data, customer priorities, information gaps, and recommended next steps.
