Develops and implements a plan for providing nursing care to patients requiring nursing care, treatment, and services ensuring that the nursing care delivery system considers factors such as patient mix, community needs, knowledge and skills of nursing staff, availability of resources, and established health care outcomes. Works to establish effective collaborative interdisciplinary and intradepartmental teams throughout the facility to establish a climate of exceptional clinical care, patient safety, immediate response to adverse events, fiscally responsible care, appropriate admission and discharge transitions, culturally sensitive interactions, and promotion of health.
