Job Title: EP Technologist Profession: EP Technologist (Electrophysiology Lab) Specialty: EP Lab (Electrophysiology) Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 10 Hours Days Hours per Shift: 4 - 10 hour shifts (with potential for 4 - 9 hour shifts) Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: IABP experience, 2 years of cath lab experience Description: Department: EP Tech Certifications Required: ACLS & BLS Number of suites/labs: 7 Rooms Total (4 Cath Lab/EP & 3 IR) Average number of cases per day: 20+ Common diagnoses/types of patients include Ablations (A.Fib, A. Flutter, SVT, VT, etc.), EP studies with programmed stimulation, Pacemaker & ICD placements, and Loop recorder implants. Job duties include verifying orders and consent, conducting head-to-toe assessments, providing patient education, consent verification, setting up rooms, circulating cases, administering moderate sedation, assisting anesthesia providers, continuous monitoring of hemodynamics, documentation, and coordinating with the team.
