The position works collaboratively with Hospital Administration, the designated CLIA Laboratory Director/Medical Director, medical staff, nursing leadership, Human Resources, Infection Prevention, Quality, and other hospital departments to ensure laboratory services meet applicable hospital, state, federal, and accreditation requirements. The Laboratory Director oversees laboratory staffing, workflow, quality assurance, regulatory readiness, employee competency, departmental policies and procedures, equipment and supply management, budgeting, productivity, and performance improvement activities.
