ul>Provides direct patient care in the emergency department by performing a variety of clinical interventions and technical procedures, including but not limited to: splint application, Foley catheter insertion, blood glucose monitoring (accuchecks), vital sign collection, electrocardiograms (EKGs), and intravenous (IV) insertion, in accordance with scope of practice and under the direction of licensed clinical staff. BCLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), or American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) required.
