p>Responsibilities: • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization • Conduct suicide and violence risk assessments • Formulate and implement comprehensive and evidence-based treatment plans • Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications • Order laboratory tests as indicated • Manage acute behavioral emergencies with behavioral and pharmacologic interventions • Lead treatment team meetings and coordinate activity of the interdisciplinary team, including primary care providers, social workers, RNs, and other team members • Consult with primary care providers and other clinicians to facilitate evaluation and treatment of medical conditions • Collaborate with Social Workers and Court Evaluators to assess readiness for discharge and formulate discharge plans • Document in the electronic medical record.

The Field Instructor provides clinical instruction, supervision, and mentorship to students, interns, and staff working toward advanced degrees or independent licensure in social work and behavioral health. 2 years of experience in the direct treatment of individuals with behavioral health diagnoses is required; Washington State designation as a Mental Health Professional (MHP) may be substituted for the direct treatment experience requirement.
p>Full-time employees who work full monthly schedules qualify for holiday compensation if they are employed before the holiday and are in pay status for at least 80 nonovertime hours during the month of the holiday; or for the entire work shift preceding the holiday. As provided in WAC 357-58-175, an employer may authorize a lump-sum accrual of vacation leave or accelerate the vacation leave accrual rate to support the recruitment and/or retention of a candidate or employee for a Washington Management Service position.
