We manufacture structural components for tent frames, shelters, and temporary structures—and we’re looking for a seasoned welding specialist to lead by example.</p><h2>Why you’ll love it</h2><ul><li>Own complex setups: adjust MIG/TIG machines, wire feeders, shielding gases, and fixtures.</li><li>Turn drawings into reality: read prints and weld symbols, plan sequence, and control distortion.</li><li>Deliver structural-grade, full-penetration welds with a clean, consistent finish.</li><li>Mentor junior welders—elevate technique, safety, and productivity across the cell.</li><li>Partner with quality and engineering; contribute to WPS creation and continuous improvement.</li><li>Maintain 5S, adhere to OSHA practices, and flex for overtime or special projects when needed.</li></ul><h2>Must-haves</h2><ul><li>HS diploma/GED; technical or vocational welding training strongly preferred.</li><li>3–5 years in structural/production welding within manufacturing or fabrication.</li><li>AWS D1.1 certification (or ability to re-certify upon hire).</li><li>Proficiency: GMAW (carbon steel) and GTAW (thin-gauge steel or aluminum).</li><li>Skilled in flat, horizontal, and vertical welding to code quality.</li><li>Blueprint and weld-symbol fluency; metric and imperial measurement skills.</li><li>Fabrication basics: cutting, layout, grinders, saws, and hand tools.</li><li>Strong communicator with excellent time management; committed to teamwork, safety, and improvement.</li></ul><h2>Are these also in your toolkit?</h2><ul><li>You should be proficient in: Tape Measure Reading; Blueprint Reading</li><li>Machines & technologies you'll use: MIG Welder; TIG Welder</li></ul><p><strong>Physical and Work Environment Requirements</strong>:</p><p>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by a team member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.</p><ul><li>Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand for extended periods.</li><li>Manual dexterity and visual acuity for precision welding.</li><li>Tolerance for heat, noise, and metal-fume environment (PPE provided).</li></ul><h2>Where you’ll work</h2><p>Enjoy a climate-controlled shop. You may occasionally encounter moving mechanical parts, fumes/airborne particles, or caustic/toxic chemicals. Noise is usually moderate. Most of the time PPE isn’t required; when a task calls for PPE, we’ll provide it and it’s mandatory to wear.</p>
